The Instructor Development Course (IDC) consists of two parts - the Assistant Instructor (AI) course you can complete with us and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.

If the AI course is successfully completed, you will receive the PADI Assistant Instructor Brevet. If an Assistant Instructor (AI) is ready for the next step, he or she can join an OWSI program and then join an IE, and if successful in IE, the goal is achieved - the PADI Instructor Level.

A PADI AI and later on the OWSI may participate who is a PADI Divemaster and a certified member for at least six months. Furthermore, you will need:

CONTENT:

 You will continue to develop your skills in organizing and supervising diving activities as you focus on developing your teaching skills as an Instructor.
- Acquire Theoretical Knowledge Through Self Study, Quizzes, Lectures & Presentations
Repetition and Assessment of basic skills in limited open water, workshops and presentations
- open water workshops, assessment of rescue skills and presentations

The PADI Assistant Instructor course consists of the following sections:

Module 1 - Theoretical Education
- PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Snorkeling Programs
- Developing Presentative Presentations
- Teaching Specialties Project AWARE and Tare in Perfection
- Teaching in Limited Open Water
- Conducting Presentations on Open Water Education.

Module 2 - Self Study
- Acquisition of Theoretical Knowledge (Divemaster Theory Must Be Mastered Safely)

Module 3 - Practical Application
- Presentations of lessons in limited open water and open water
- Standard test (Instructor manual may be used during the exam)
- Assessment of diving rescue skills


What You Can Teach

In addition to the responsibilities and responsibilities you already have as a PADI Divemaster, as a PADI Assistant Instructor you will be able to do the following:

- Presenting lesson presentations under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor - Under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor, demonstrate the initial training of each new skill during the
dives in limited open water.
- Under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor, the basic skills on the surface of
Open Water Diver Rate Students
- Teach PADI Specialty Buoyancy Perfection Under Indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor and give divers the appropriate certification
- Teach Project AWARE Specialty Courses
- The Specialty AWARE Protection course Teaching the Coral Reefs
- Perform the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience in the Swimming Pool or in Limited Open Water.
- The Teach PADI Seal Team Program AquaMissions
- Teach the PADI Specialty Digital Underwater Photography courses under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.


Your diving equipment used

  • You use all the basic diving gear and some diving accessories like an underwater board, diving knife, compass, diver's watch and much more.
  • It is strongly recommended that you have your own complete diving equipment, as familiarity with personal equipment simplifies basic diving skills. You can buy quality equipment from us (new or used), we will advise you in the course of your course.

The PADI IDC Crew Pack includes all the materials needed to prepare you for the PADI Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor course. The 23-piece kit includes:

Eligibility

To participate in this course you need to:

- Be a PADI Divemaster (or have an equivalent qualification from another dive training organization)
- Minimum age 18 years
- Have at least 60 logged dives, including night dives,
Deep dives and navigation dives
- be a certified diver for at least 6 months
- have undergone CPR training and first aid within the last 24 months - this course can take place with us
- Be fit for diving and have a valid Diving Certificate.
